On The Road: Scroll Editon
On the Road is one of the books that its manuscript may be arguably more famous than the book itself. Supposedly created in a frenzy of Bop records, Benzedrine, and Kerouac's pile of notebooks, the scroll was a four hundred page behemoth sans punctiation and paragraphs.
On the Road in its original form is a bit more ragged than it's parsed cousin. The story is still here, but the action is muddled, and if you haven't read on the Road get the 50th anniversery edtion, and then once a memeber of Jack's fan club, read this.
